About Free Narcan Distribution and Training

Free Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips are offered to support overdose prevention in Arlington, Darrington, and the surrounding north Snohomish County communities.

Narcan and fentanyl test strips can be picked up at the Stilly Valley Health Connections office during regular business hours. Community members may also call ahead to confirm staff availability or discuss pick-up options outside regular business hours.

Anyone may receive free Narcan. Narcan is a safe, easy-to-use nasal spray designed to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.

Individuals who may want to consider carrying Narcan include the following:

  • People taking high-dose prescription opioids
  • Individuals mixing opioids with alcohol or sedatives
  • Anyone with a history of opioid use disorder or previous overdose
  • Friends and family of someone who uses opioids
  • Emergency responders and community members who may encounter an overdose

Upon arrival, visitors can ring the doorbell at the front double doors of our office. Staff will assist you with free Narcan and fentanyl test strips, along with written instructions and additional educational resources on how each tool works.

There is a limited supply of free Narcan and fentanyl test strips. Individuals are limited to one or two packs of each per visit.

No registration or appointment is needed. Community members can stop by during business hours or call ahead if they want to confirm staff availability.
