DESCRIPTION:In honor of National Suicide Prevention Month\, Smokey Point Behavioral Hospital and Stilly Valley Health Connections are hosting a FREE community event to encourage open conversations about mental health and suicide prevention. SUMMARY:Overdose Prevention and Narcan Training
DESCRIPTION:Join Amy Wheat\, Opioid Outreach Specialist with Snohomish County Human Services\, for step-by-step instruction on how to recognize an opioid overdose and administer Narcan (naloxone) nasal spray\, a medication that can reverse an overdose and save a life. This training will include information about what an opioid overdose looks like\, and why the addition of Fentanyl increases the danger of a deadly overdose. \nThis training is free and open to anyone in the community. Information on how to obtain Narcan at no charge will be provided.
