@northcounty_fireems will have a fire engine at the Health & Safety Fair for everyone to come and explore.

MORE ABOUT THE EVENT:
Join Stilly Valley Health Connections at Legion Park in Arlington on May 17th for the “Healthy Living in the Stilly Valley” event! This year’s event will focus on promoting health and safety for both youth and adults. Over 30 local organizations will have resource tables, giveaways, and fun activities for everyone in the community. Plus, families can explore a variety of vehicles, including a police car, fire truck, transit bus, and more!

Kids are encouraged to bring their bikes or scooters, along with their helmets, to take part in the Arlington Police Department’s annual “Bike Rodeo” skills course. Seattle Children’s will also be providing a limited number of free youth helmets for children who attend the event.

Other highlights include free Naloxone (Narcan) courtesy of Snohomish County Human Services and free gun and medication locks from UW Forefront Suicide Prevention. Be sure to stop by the Stilly Valley Health Connections booth when you arrive to pick up your event passport and enter the raffle for a chance to win gift cards from local businesses.

Every day we see news stories about the opioid epidemic, overdosing, and fears about fentanyl. As alarming as this is, it is not the first time that the United States has experienced high levels of opioid use. Join Alex Sirotzki, with the Washington Poison Center, as we explore lessons learned from this historical journey.

Participants will deepen their understanding of various opiates and opioids, including fentanyl, and separate myth from fact. At the end of the presentation, attendees will leave with strategies to help reduce harm in our communities. Not able to attend? Register anyway, and we will send you the recording. Join us for this in-person interactive program designed to help participants understand the connection between emotions, feelings, and behaviors. Attendees will learn practical mindfulness techniques to manage stress and navigate challenging emotions in healthy ways. This engaging experience empowers participants with tools to build emotional resilience and well-being. Janelle Jensen, MS, LMFT, with Ellie Mental Health, will be presenting these activities. This free community event will be held in Arlingto

This free community event will be held in Arlington and welcomes individuals with developmental disabilities (ages 12 and older), their families, caregivers, teachers, employees, and other interested community members. The fair is organized by Snohomish County Developmental Disabilities, and will be held Saturday, May 3rd from 9am to 11am at Stilly Valley Health Connections.
